Glacier Calving
Would you see this from a large cruise ship? Maybe.
Special thanks to Paul Motter for filming this on his digital camera and making it available to his fellow passengers. We had just paddled away from the face of the glacier, so didn’t experience the excitement of those who were so close and felt the effects of the ice plunging into the water.
We heard the creaking of the ice followed by an immense crash; we watched the spectacle from afar.
No worries about a tsunami from our vantage point.
